VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OR INSTRUCTOR (Philosophy/Non-tenure track)

Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies Required Qualifications: 
(Visiting Asst. Prof) Ph.D.; (All positions) M.A. or A.B.D.; Area of 
Specialization: philosophy of mind or language; Area of Competence: Logic;
 
capable of and interested in teaching a first course in symbolic logic 
(covering material found in, e.g., the first thirteen chapters of Barwise
 
and Etchemendys Language, Proof, and Logic) on a regular basis. 
Responsibilities: (Visiting Asst. Prof) teaches 3/3 course load with 25% 
research; (Instructor) teaches 4/4 course load. No thesis supervision or 
non teaching duties. Position is for one year with prospect of renewal. An
 
offer of employment is contingent on a satisfactory pre-employment
