Algorithms and/or Complexity Theory Post-Doctoral Position

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Calgary invites
applications for a post-doctoral position in Algorithms or Complexity Theory
to begin in summer or fall of 2009.  The successful applicant should hold a
Ph.D. in computer science or mathematics by the beginning of the
appointment.  While all areas of theoretical computer science are of
interest, priority will be given to researchers in computational complexity,
computer algebra and computational number theory, cryptography, distributed
computation, quantum computation, or randomized algorithms.
Responsibilities of the position will include actively engaging in research
discussions with the theory group, teaching an undergraduate course, and
participating in funding applications.

The position is for one year, with a possibility and expectation of
extending it for a second year upon satisfactory performance.  The salary is
competitive.
