CfA: 16m postdoc in the PRIN project “Controlling and utilizing uncertainty in the health sciences”, deadline: 13 May

Call for applications: Postdoctoral Fellowship (Logic, Epistemology, Philos
ophy of Science), University of Turin.

The Department of Philosophy and Education at the University of Turin
(Italy) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship (AOS: Logic, Epi
stemology, Philosophy of Science), funded by the PRIN PNRR project Contr
olling and utilizing uncertainty in the health sciences,coordinated b
y Alexander Gebharter (Ancona) and Lorenzo Rossi (Turin).

The project focuses on the application of formal tools (including modal log
ics, Bayesian epistemology, decision theory, and more) to the analysisof
 uncertainty in scientific results and decision making, especially in the h
ealth sciences. The scope of the project, however, is rather broad, and we 
welcome candidates with a wide variety of research backgrounds and areas of
 expertise.

The postdoctoralfellowship will last for 16 months. Deadline:May 13,
2024 (1pm, UTC+2 CEST).
