Dear all, HIGHLIGHTS IN THE LANGUAGE SCIENCES CONFERENCE 2024 The Language in Interaction Consortium (LiI) is pleased to announce the Hig hlights in the Language Sciences Conference 2024, celebrating the conclusio n of our 10-year Gravitation Programme and the advances made in language-re lated disciplines including genetics, neuroscience, psychology, linguistics and computational modeling. The conference will take place 8-11 July 2024 at the Radboud University in Nijmegen. We are putting together an exciting programme with top-level key experts in the relevant fields of research. Confirmed speakers include Davi d Poeppel (NYU, Strungmann Institute, Frankfurt), Ghislaine Dehaene-Lambert z (CNRS Paris), Vera Demberg (Universitt des Saarlandes), Uri Hasson (Un iversiy of Princeton), Barbara Kaup (University Tbingen), Tal Linzen (NY U). Registration and attendance of the conference is free of charge, and will o pen in October 2023. Abstract submission for the poster session will open i n October as well. Language in Interaction is a consortium of researchers at Dutch universitie s and research institutes (including the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation, (UvA); the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics; the Don ders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour; among others). The LiI consortium has acquired substantial experience in addressing a series of Bi g Questions (BQs) in language-related disciplines, uniquely combining diver se fields, including genetics, neuroscience, psychology, linguistics and co mputational modeling (as summarized in the consortium book: Hagoort (Ed.), Human Language: from genes and brains to behavior, MIT Press, 2019).
